New League

If people are actually interested in a new league come summer (which can't be far off for the teachers) we should get some regulations in place to address Marr's and others' grievances. I suggest the following:

1) No trading of players at all.
2) Draft picks may only be traded during the postseason after the order is set.
3) A limit of one cut-then-resign (contract restructuring) per year.
4) No clearing of cap penalties.

This way teams must be built through the draft and free agency. It will be almost impossible to get a team of freaks. The draft and free agency become more important because you can't simply trade for the good players afterwards. Also it emphasizes the later rounds of the draft since you may be able to find a physically gifted player you can develop. Also this helps balance the teams, because you can get better free agents if you do well, but it hurts the value of your draft picks. Limiting contract restructuring makes cap management important (you might actually need to cut expensive players)

Also, if the usually crowd is playing I suggest we put Dave and myself in one conference and Marr and Ettore in the other. I don't know where we should put Fisher.

A more extreme measure would be to tweak the AI settings. I don't suggest we unbalance the human-computer settings, put I suggest we lower (for both players and computer controlled) throwing accuracy and O-line blocking. Reducing throwing accuracy will tone down the 70 point offenses, make the long ball more difficult and emphasize running a little more. Turning down blocking will also tone down the ridiculous offenses, and means your defensive line will actually do something instead of your massive DTs getting pushed 5 yards off the ball on every running play.

If people are interested in the AI change, I'll start experimenting with it.
